Balthasar is a data scientist helping technology companies solve quantitative modeling and analytics challenges. He is also an active researcher in engineering physics where he combines modern sensor technology with machine intelligence. He received his PhD in applied physics from Harvard University.

Hilary is finishing her PhD in Sociology at MIT, examining technological change and legal decision-making. She received her JD from Harvard Law School and worked on technology and law at Ropes & Gray and Wilmer Hale. From 2009-2012, Hilary was an assistant professor at Vermont Law School.

Daniel co-directs and lectures in the program on Ethics, Engineering, and Entrepreneurship at MIT. He previously taught at the University of Virginia, Georgetown University, and the École Des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, Paris. Daniel received his PhD from the Committee on Social Thought at the University of Chicago.
